A community town hall about the possible construction of a new recreation center in Gaithersburg and Montgomery Village is set for Oct. 3 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The event is presented by Councilmembers Dawn Luedtke and Laurie-Anne Sayles and will be held at Montgomery Village Middle School. It is sponsored by the county and the Department of Recreation.
Luedtke and Sayles recently joined Councilmembers Sidney Katz, Gabe Albornoz, Evan Glass and Will Jawando in sending a letter to the property owner of Lakeforest Mall requesting they include a community center in their planned redevelopment project.
