On Saturday, a group of protesters gathered outside the Tesla dealership on Rockville Pike in Rockville. About 25 people, some with colorful signs, let passersby know they did not agree with the current policies enacted by Elon Musk and his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
As a partner in Tesla, one of the first popular electric vehicles sold in the United States, Musk owns the largest stake in the company at 13%. Previously, he served as Chairman of the Board.
Honks of approval provided the background sounds as MCM interviewed some of the protesters.
Elsewhere in the county some Tesla owners have taken to displaying apologetic bumper stickers that read: “Anti Elon Tesla Club” and “I bought this before we knew Elon was crazy.”
