Montgomery County’s Office of Emergency Management & Homeland Security (OEMHS) is hosting a public meeting on its 2024 Hazard Mitigation Plan on Wednesday, Nov. 1.
The meeting will be held virtually from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.

“The 2024 Hazard Mitigation Plan will take a closer look at the role climate change plays in hazards affecting Montgomery County, as well as, coupling climate resiliency strategies with hazard mitigation strategies,” according to a county press release.
OEMHS has released its draft of the Hazard Mitigation Plan which will be open for public comment until Wednesday, Nov. 8.
Residents can review the draft and provide input through the Hazard Mitigation Draft Survey.
