In an effort to help civilians affected by the ongoing invasion of Ukraine, Ukrainian Girl and Boy Scouts spent Saturday afternoon making emergency medical kits to ship overseas.
The local chapter of the Plast Ukrainian Scouting Organization gathered at Westland Middle School in Bethesda for the project.
Another packing event at Westland Middle School will be held this Saturday, March 26 at 1 p.m. and anyone is welcome to help. The Plast organization is accepting financial donations to help cover the cost of shipping kits to Ukraine. Those interested in contributing can do so at aid.plastUSA.org.
