Montgomery County native Rachel Nichols will be headlining a show for the newly branded Monumental Sports Network it was announced Wednesday.
Nichols, who grew up in Potomac and graduated from Churchill High School, told MCM “this will be an interview show, featuring a wide range of people in the DC area. Sometimes we’ll talk to players from the multiple teams Monumental owns, so fans can get to know them better, but we also want to branch out and talk to politicians, local celebrities – all the people who make DC, well, DC. There’s no other place in the country quite like the Washington area, and we want to capture that with this show.”
Some fun news: In addition to my role at Showtime Sports here in L.A., I’m going to be headlining a show on the new Monumental Sports Network, talking to the players, politicians & celebs that make my hometown one of the most interesting places in the world. So much sports… pic.twitter.com/3sW7M9jDTS
