U.S. Congressman Jamie Raskin will hold a Telephone Town Hall Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m. During the call he will address the changes taking place in the federal government under the new administration.
According to the registration form, the Town Hall will “update constituents on threats to federal government programs and federal workers, threats to refugees, data privacy and the professional civil service, and the consequences of this turbulence for our community.”
The Telephone Town Hall will serve the constituents of Raskin’s Congressional District 8 which includes most of southern Montgomery County and a small portion of Prince George’s County. The district includes federal agencies like the National Institutes of Health, the Food and Drug Administration, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
