Red line metro trains will start single-tracking between Forest Glen and Silver Spring on Saturday, Sept. 17 and into next week due to leak mitigation work, the Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) announced Thursday.
Work is set to run until late next week, however it will only occur after 10 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 19, through Thursday, Sept. 22.
According to the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), leak mitigation work between Forest Glen and Silver Spring will take place three more times within the next month. The dates are as follows:
Sept. 17 – 18
Regular Single-Tracking
Sept. 19 – 22
Single-Tracking after 10 p.m.
Sept. 26 – 29
Single-Tracking after 10 p.m.
Oct. 1 – 2
Regular Single-Tracking
Oct. 3 – 6
Single-Tracking after 10 p.m.
