Montgomery County’s Alcohol Beverage Services (ABS) will open registration for limited availability whiskey lotteries that provide a chance to purchase highly sought spirits on Dec. 3.
The lotteries will only be open to Montgomery County residents and licensees according to a press release. ABS expects to release more than 400 bottles for purchase.

“This year has been outstanding for highly allocated products, and we are pleased to be able to offer a special, second lottery for Montgomery County residents and license holders only,” said ABS Director Kathie Durbin in a press release.
ABS is hosting these lotteries in addition to the annual lotteries held in March, which are open to all Maryland residents.
Registration begins at 12:01 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 3, and closes at 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9. Winning numbers will be posted on the ABS website at noon on Tuesday, Dec. 19.
Those wishing to enter the whiskey lotteries must be 21 or older.
