Chick-fil-A on Tech Road in Silver Spring reopened Thursday, featuring an updated and expanded layout.
In celebration of the reopening, the restaurant donated $25,000 to Feeding America to support hunger relief efforts by the Capital Area Food Bank.
Owner Tina Oyeniya whose home country is Nigeria, was an aerospace engineer. She expects to hire about 100 full and part time employees.
“Giving back to the Silver Spring community by partnering with local schools and making a real difference is a driving force for me,” Oyeniya shared. “I am confident, alongside my team, that our Guests, both familiar and new, will adore the newly renovated restaurant, and I’m thrilled to build lasting relationships with them.”
The restaurant is part of the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need.
