In the wake of Thursday morning’s explosion at the Friendly Garden Apartments in Silver Spring, the county continues to try to account for any missing residents.
Residents have been asked to check in on the second floor at the Gwendolyn Coffield Community Recreation Center to reunite with family members unaccounted for at this point. The center is located at 2450 Lyttonsville Road in Silver Spring.
It is estimated that approximately 100 people have been displaced by today’s explosion.
