Hundreds of people lined the streets of downtown Silver Spring Saturday morning at the annual Montgomery County Thanksgiving Parade.
The event was marked by a wide variety of musical bands, followed by floats including a turkey, Frosty the Snowman, and a dinosaur. Several local elected officials were also a part of the parade.
The annual event marks the start of the holiday season. The parade route began on Ellsworth Drive and Fenton Street then proceeded south on Georgia Avenue before ending at Silver Spring Avenue.
