Twenty four farms, orchards and vineyards are hosting special events during Montgomery County’s 2024 Farm Tour and Harvest Sale on July 27 and 28.
The events take place in the county’s Agricultural Reserve rain or shine. This brochure lists all the participating farms and activities.
The 93,000-acre reserve makes up one-third of the county’s land area and contributes $310 million to the county’s economy. There are 583 farms and 350 horticultural enterprises.
The county has been promoting farms here for 35 years, and participants can pick flowers and produce, get close to animals, listen to music and enjoy the northwestern part of the county.
The average farm is 120 acres.

If you can’t make it July 27 or July 28, there are three self-driving tours that can be enjoyed throughout the year.
The grape and grain tours revolve around wineries and breweries. The farms to feast tours offer opportunities to purchase meats, eggs, fruits, vegetables, herbs, milk and of course, desserts.
The Revive the Sunday Drive tour highlights the area’s beauty and suggests places to walk, hike, picnic and take photos. It is a two-hour route.
