Isaac Applebaum of Bethesda competes in the semifinals of the Jeopardy! National College Championship Thursday night.
The junior at Stanford University, who is majoring in computational biology, will appear in the second semifinal contest on ABC7. The broadcast begins at 8 p.m. Applebaum faces students from Pomona College and Louisiana State University.
Applebaum is a Richard Montgomery High School graduate where he played on the baseball team.
