Montgomery Parks is welcoming community members for an evening of roller and inline skating Friday, April 14 at Ridge Road Recreational Park in Germantown. The free event takes place from 6-9 p.m. and will feature music, skating and refreshments.
The event, “Roller Disco”, takes its inspiration from the roller rinks of the 70s and 80s. Montgomery Parks suggests participants to wear bell bottoms, peace signs, and tie-dye shirts.
Food and drink sold by O’Boy Pizza, Catalyst Hot Dogs, Trippy Tacos and Clayboys Shaved Ice food trucks will be available for purchase.
Participants should be aware skate rentals are not available at the event. Only roller skates and in-line skates are permitted inside the rink. Skateboards, longboards, and bikes are not permitted.
There is limited seating, so participants may want to bring their own picnic blankets and chairs.
The park is located at 21155 Frederick Road in Germantown. More information about the event and parking locations can be found on the Montgomery Parks website.
Travel back to the 70's and 80's with us at Ridge Road Recreational Park on April 14 at 6:00pm! Don't forget your shiny roller skates. Local vendors will be serving up tasty treats. https://t.co/DNJ9EoBAZw
