Locally Crafted, a shop in Gaithersburg’s Rio Shopping Center, hosted an event for federal workers last Friday. Dozens of RIFed workers and those on the brink of losing their government jobs showed up. All kinds of work-related resources were provided by volunteers who wanted to help.
Heather Luxenberg told MCM the recent cutbacks were personal for her. Her husband recently lost his position at a federally funded agency.
