Ritchie Park Elementary School in Rockville hosted a Bike to School Day event on Wednesday.
Leaders said the event is meant to encourage biking as well as bike and street safety. Adults handed out backpacks with safety tips, activity books and glowsticks.
Montgomery County’s Vision Zero plan aims to totally eliminate serious and fatal collisions on county roads by the end of 2030. Leaders continue to advocate for street safety and those at Ritchie Park said Wednesday’s event is important.
