The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is hosting a “Light the Night Walk” to honor those affected by blood cancers on Saturday, Oct. 14 at the Rockville Town Center. The walk is part of a fundraiser sponsored by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Residents interested in joining the walk can register here.
Festival activities will begin at 5:00 p.m.
An opening ceremony will be held at 7:00 p.m., followed by the walk at 7:20 p.m.

Starting at 6 a.m. on Oct. 14, E. Montgomery Avenue from S. Washington Street to Monroe Street will be closed until 1 a.m. on Oct. 15
Starting at 11 a.m. on Oct. 14, Maryland Avenue from E. Jefferson Street to East Middle Lane will be closed until 1 a.m. on Oct. 15
The following streets will be closed by a rolling roadblock for 10-15 minutes starting at 7:00 p.m. for the walk:
- Beal Avenue
- Luckett Street
- Anderson Avenue
- Forest Avenue
- Harrison Street
- Van Buren Street
- W. Middle Lane
- N. Adams Street
- W. Montgomery Avenue
