The City of Gaithersburg announced road construction that will cause traffic delays effective Monday.
The Department of Public Works will conduct road construction work that includes asphalt milling, resurfacing and striping, according to a press release. The affected streets are Kentlands Boulevard and Main Street from Kentlands Boulevard to Midtown Road. Tschiffely Road will receive asphalt repairs, according to the City of Gaithersburg.
The release said the majority of the work will take place on weekdays between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., in which minor delays are expected. On-street parking will be restricted with “No Parking” signs indicating dates and times of parking restrictions.
Roadway access will remain open unless temporary short-term closures are needed.
The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of October 2024.
