Rockville City Police Department Chief Victor V. Brito submitted his resignation after six years of service on Friday. His last day will be Nov. 22, 2024 according to a Rockville City press release.
No reason was given for his resignation.
Brito previously served as Chief of Police with the City of Hagerstown Police Department. He served for 25 years with the Metropolitan Police Department and retired with the rank of captain.
A search for a new police chief will begin in the near future, according to Rockville City Manager Jeff Mihelich.
