American Gene Technologies in Rockville has planned a virtual and in-person gathering Friday to announce “very exciting” news for those living with HIV.
Jeff Galvin, founder and CEO, said the news also could mean an economic boom for the area.
“Montgomery County is a fabulous community to live and have a business, and it’s one of the reasons why we are here and thriving,” he said.
The company is using gene therapy to one day develop a potential cure for HIV.
Reservations are required to attend the event. which will begin at 6 p.m. at 9713 Key West Avenue Rockville.
