The Rockville City Police Department (RCPD) will host hiring events Thursday, Dec. 5, at 6 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 7, at 10 a.m. at its headquarters at 2 W. Montgomery Ave.

The department is nationally accredited and seeks motivated individuals for police officer roles. Officers perform law enforcement tasks, including routine service calls and high-risk assignments, often under hazardous conditions.
Servicing Rockville’s 70,000 residents, the department collaborates with the Montgomery County Department of Police. City officers respond to service calls and work with community partners to address safety and neighborhood quality-of-life issues.
Starting salaries for police officers begin at $68,748. Hiring bonuses include $6,000 for entry-level officers and $10,000 for lateral applicants.
