Rockville Science Day on April 21 from noon to 5 p.m. features numerous STEM activities.
Sponsored by the Rockville Science Center, the 33rd annual event will be held at Montgomery College, 51 Mannakee Street, Rockville.
There will be more than 100 exhibitors offering hands on learning on science and technology-related games, demos and activities. Rocket building and launching, telescope viewing, robots, backyard wildlife, ship models, microscopes, snakes, Civile War medical practice, coding, math, chemical flames and explosions, archaeology and 3-D printing are all featured.
Exhibitors include National Institutes of Health, NASA, National Human Genome Research Institute, National Cryptologic Museum, National Institutes of Standards and Technology, Chemical Society of Washington, National Capital Astronomers, US Pharmacopeia, National Museum of Civil War Medicine, Electric Vehicle Association of Greater Washington DC, Croyden Creek Nature Center, University of Maryland School of Engineering, Maryland Science Center, Second Chance Wildlife Center, numerous robotics teams, NARHAMS Model Rocket Club and Montgomery County Beekeepers Association.
Food will be available for purchase. The event will be held rain or shine.
