A Rockville teen has pleaded guilty to second-degree rape for assaulting a 16-year-old girl last year, according to the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office (MCSAO).
Caden Riley, 19, of Rockville, pleaded guilty Friday in Montgomery County Circuit Court.
According to police at the time of the incident, April 16, 2022, a 16-year-old victim said she was assaulted by a suspect who was riding a bicycle on the pedestrian bridge near Lakewood Elementary School. Riley was located after officers canvassed the area. Police executed a search warrant at his home and found evidence. Police said further evidence against Riley was obtained during an interview with him.
Riley faces up to 10 years in prison, per MCSAO. He will be sentenced July 28.
