Rockville City Hall reopens to the public on Monday, March 28. It has been closed since March 2020 due to the pandemic. The city delayed a plan to reopen City Hall earlier this year in January due to the surge in COVID-19 cases associated with the Omicron variant.
The Mayor and Council’s weekly meetings will not reopen to the public at this time. The public may attend the meetings virtually as they are streamed live on the city’s website.
City services have been available virtually throughout the pandemic. Other city facilities that are open include community centers, the Rockville Swim and Fitness Center, Civic Center Park and the Rockville Senior Center.
Rockville requires all city employees be vaccinated and boosted for COVID.
Face coverings remain mandatory for those older than two years when visiting city facilities.
All visitors must enter City Hall through the third-floor main entrance on Vinson Street until further notice. Face coverings will be available to visitors who need them.
City Hall will reopen Monday, 3/28, with provisions in place to protect the health of Rockville employees and the public and prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The Mayor & Council will continue to hold hybrid meetings until further notice. https://t.co/R6JZn1jgzc pic.twitter.com/ifm7GUpRzN
