Not surprisingly given the stakes this year, election anxiety is at an all-time high. It’s difficult to escape all the news surrounding citizens’ right to vote. Stories about election fraud and ballot box dangers seem to be everywhere.
MCM asked Dr. Gilberto Zelaya, the Public Information Officer for the Board of Elections, what steps Montgomery County has taken to combat potential election fraud.
Make sure to send your mail-in ballot or drop it off at a polling place on Tuesday, Nov. 5. Residents can vote in person at 50 locations in the county from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Polls will remain open until everyone who arrives by 8 p.m. has voted. If you are not near your local precinct, you can still vote provisionally at any polling place on Election Day.
