Second Suspect Arrested in Connection with 2023 Homicide

A second person has been arrested in connection with a homicide that occurred in November 2023.

De’Shaun McCrimmon, 22, has been charged with first-degree murder for his role in the shooting death of Orlando Alexander Satz, Jr., 20, according to the police statement.

Satz, Jr. died on Nov. 28, 2023, after crashing his car into a parked vehicle on Spruell Drive. Montgomery County Fire & Rescue (MCFRS) responded to the scene and observed apparent gunshot wounds.

Jose Ramon Ventura was arrested on June 20, 2024, and charged with aiding and abetting McCrimmon and another person believed to be responsible for Satz’s death, according to the police.

On August 24, detectives applied for and obtained an arrest warrant for McCrimmon, charging him with first-degree murder. He was arrested on August 27 in Silver Spring and is currently held at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, awaiting a bond hearing.
