U.S. Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md) has secured a second term, the Associated Press declared after Tuesday’s election.
On Thursday, Van Hollen told MyMCM he will continue to push for the state and country residents want in terms of equal rights and opportunity and will focus on areas like education, workforce training, environment and climate.
Van Hollen maintains 76.83% of the vote compared to Republican Chris Chaffee, who has 22.98%, per unofficial election results.
