Friday, September 27

Magician Mike Rose
Poolesville

From 2-2:45 p.m., Magician Mike Rose presents “Magical Adventures” for ages five and up at Maggie Nightingale Library located at 19633 Fisher Ave. in Poolesville. The show features magic tricks, comedy, and audience participation. See more here.

Buckets and Beats Youth Block Party
Downtown Silver Spring

County Councilmember Kate Stewart and the Silver Spring Regional Services Office host the “Buckets and Beats” youth block party from 2-6 p.m. at Veterans Plaza in downtown Silver Spring. The block party features a DJ, and activities for youth like a 3 v. 3 basketball tournament, a pop-up skatepark and art activities. See more here.

Movies in the Park: Coco
Robertson Park

The Gaithersburg Youth Center at Robertson Park invites the local community to an outdoor screening of the movie “Coco” at the park at 801 Rabbitt Road. Entry and popcorn are free. See more here.

Saturday, September 28

National Hunting and Fishing Day
Germantown

From 1-5 p.m. the Izaak Walton League of America Rockville Chapter hosts its 2024 Open House on National Hunting and Fishing Day. The community is invited to a day of outdoor fun at 18301 Waring Station Road in Germantown. It is free and open to the public. See more here.

Health Fair
Gaithersburg

The annual CCACC Health Fair is 2-5 p.m. at 9366 Gaither Road. There will be health exhibits, vaccinations, free screenings and tests, as well as games and food. See more here.

Therapeutic Recreation Saturday Night Social – Wild West Dance
Wheaton

From 6:30-9:30 p.m. individuals ages 15 and up with disabilities can enjoy a DJ, dancing, games and pizza during a “Wild West Dance” at the Holiday Park Senior Center in Wheaton. Cost is $10 and pre-registration is encouraged. The Holiday Park Senior Center is located at 3950 Ferrara Drive. See more here.

Wheaton Arts Parade and Festival
Wheaton

The annual Wheaton Arts Parade and Festival is from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. The parade starts at 10 a.m. and goes to the Marian Fryer Town Plaza at 2424 Reedie Drive. See more here.

Echo Arts Festival
Glen Echo Park

The Echo Arts Festival is 12-5 p.m. at Glen Echo Park. The event is free and includes live music. The park is located at 7300 MacArthur Blvd. See more here.

Sunday Serenade
Cabin John Regional Park

All ages can enjoy a Sunday Serenade at Cabin John Regional Park’s Amphitheater from 10-11:30 a.m. featuring live music from Redmond, Langosch, Cooley. It is located at 7400 Tuckerman Lane. See more here.
