County Police Sgt. Patrick Kepp was honored during the Baltimore Ravens game on Saturday.
Kepp — who lost both legs in the line of duty last fall — was the game’s Seats for Service recipient, according to the Baltimore Ravens. He is a longtime fan of the team.
He also greeted Gov. Wes Moore at the game.
In October last year, Kepp’s legs were amputated after he was allegedly targeted and struck by a a suspected drunk driver while setting up stop sticks on the highway. MCM visited Kepp at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center to hear his story. This month, he received awards for his work combatting impaired driving.
In addition to his police work, Kepp looks forward to returning to his weekend vocation — refereeing NCAA Division 1 College football.
During Saturday’s game, the Ravens beat the Houston Texans 31-10 to advance to Sunday’s AFC Championship game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
