
GRH (Guaranteed Ride Home) offers commuters who regularly carpool, take the bus, or bike to work a free ride home in case of an unexpected emergency, ensuring that individuals have a reliable way to get home when life throws you a curveball.
This program is designed to provide peace of mind to commuters offering a reliable ride home when an unexpected emergency arises.It also allows commuters to take advantage of the program when employers require mandatory overtime and they have to stay later at work.
Commuters must be officially registered with Commuter Connections before using the Guaranteed Ride Home (GRH) service. Users are allowed to use the service six times annually from their registration date.
To be eligible, commuters must be physically working in specific areas within the Washington, D.C and Baltimore, MD regions. Including: the District of Columbia; Maryland counties of Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Calvert, Carroll, Cecil, Charles, Frederick, Harford, Howard, Montgomery, Prince George’s, St. Mary’s, and Queen Anne’s; the City of Baltimore; and Virginia counties of Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun, and Prince William, as well as the City of Alexandria and all cities within the aforementioned counties, according to Commuter Connections.
Services are available between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., Monday through Friday and excludes holidays.
