The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for Montgomery County and surrounding areas from now through 8 p.m. The winds may gust up to 50 mph, which is strong enough to blow around unsecured objects.

The county and surrounding areas are also under a severe thunderstorm watch from now until 10 p.m.

The county’s Office of Emergency Management urges residents to stay aware of the weather and head indoors if a warning is issued.
