Police said five adults were injured in a shooting outside a restaurant in the Layhill area early Thursday.
At about 12:15 a.m., officers responded to the back of Sole D’Italia Restaurant for multiple reports of shots being fired, per a release from the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD).
According to police, there was an argument inside the restaurant that made its way into the parking lot, where the shooting occurred.
Five victims were found, according to police. Three women and two men were injured.
One person sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries, three suffered less significant injuries after they were shot, and the fifth victim had a minor injury.
Police said investigators are working to figure out who was involved. It is an active investigation.
