Top-ranked and still undefeated UCLA beat 8th-ranked Maryland 82-67 Sunday at XFINITY Center. The Terps were playing without two of their top players, Shyanne Sellers and Bri McDaniel, who are out with knee injuries.

UCLA 6’7″ center Lauren Betts led all scorers with 33 points and junior Kiki Rice from Bethesda had 19 points in her homecoming.

Rice, a former national player of the year at Sidwell Friends, added 7 assists and 6 rebounds and had over 50 family and friends at the game to see her play.

She told MCM. ‘It was great to play in front of so many fans, so many friends and family are here and it just means a lot. I grew up playing at Maryland, playing in this area so I’m really excited to be back.”
