The most important items needed are bandaids, Neosporin, ibuprofen and vitamins as well as nonperishable foods like meat cans, dry soups, coffee, energy bars candy/chocolate as well as personal hygiene supplies.

They do not want batteries, liquids, clothing or military combat equipment.

Items can be dropped off from 6 a.m. until midnight.

Church officials suggest people order these items on Amazon and have them delivered to the church at 15100 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring 20905.

The church is holding vigils Friday and Saturday night at 6 p.m.

On the church website it states, “Dear Friends, During these dark moments our Ukrainian brothers and sisters need our support now. We are forever grateful for the outpouring of solidarity prayers and support.”
