Singer and songwriter Jess Eliot Myhre performs at the Patsy Cline tribute concert at Bloom at Good Hope, on Saturday, Oct. 14 from 5-6 p.m at the Good Hope Neighborhood Recreation Center in Silver Spring.
Myrhe is from Florida and began her singing career as a young kid at church. She is known as a multi-instrumentalist for her ability to sing and play many instruments, including the clarinet, euphonium, guitar, and upright bass.
After attending Wesleyan University, she joined bands. She connected to American traditional music, which is a compilation of many genres. Country, blues, and Native American music are included in the mix. Her admiration for this traditional music propelled her to sing further.
There is no cost to attend the concert, but those interested can donate. All are welcome to bring their own food and seating. Pets and alcohol are prohibited.
