Silver Spring Intermediate Neighborhood Park in Takoma Park will be closed from now until at least December 2022 for renovations.
The renovations to the park are expected to last at least 12 months. Montgomery Parks says the playground will be kept open during most of the construction.
Improvements to the park include:
• New decks, walls and seating areas
• Improved play fields and multi-purpose courts
• Playground safety improvements and nature play area
• Bio-retention areas and landscape improvements
The park covers four acres and sports several tennis courts, a playground and a multi-use field.
