Daniel Alberto Aviles Gonzalez of Silver Spring was indicted on charges related to a double fatal vehicle collision on July 10, 2022 at the intersection of Georgia Avenue and May Street in Aspen Hill.
Aviles Gonzalez, 24, was charged with two counts of grossly negligent manslaughter, two counts of vehicular homicide while under the influence of alcohol, driving suspended and driving on a learner’s permit without supervision.
As a result of an investigation by Montgomery County Police, it is believed that Prabodh Vaid, 79, and his wife, Nirmala Vaid, 77, who lived near the crash site, died as a result of Aviles Gonzalez’s speeding while under the influence of alcohol.
