A Silver Spring man was arrested in connection with an Oct. 24 shooting in downtown Silver Spring. Police continue to look for another suspect.
MCPD charged Keshawn Simpson, 26, with first degree assault and firearm related charges. He currently is being held without bond.
According to Montgomery County Police, at 10:36 a.m., shots were fired near the intersection of Fenton Street and Ellsworth Drive. An investigation determined two Black males were shooting at each other.
Police obtained an arrest warrant on Dec. 16, 2022 for Simpson and attempted to arrest him, but he fled. On Jan. 10, Simpson was located and arrested.
