A Silver Spring man was arrested and charged with possession of a handgun and ammunition, which he is prohibited to have.
Takoma Park Police arrested Malik Joel Anthon, 25, on Dec. 14 during a traffic stop on Darwin Avenue. Police said that during the investigation, they found the loaded handgun.
His trial is set for Feb. 3 in Montgomery County District Court in Silver Spring.
