A Silver Spring man succumbed to his injuries Tuesday following a two-car collision on University Boulevard East and Buckingham Drive May 19.
According to Montgomery County Police, the driver of a 2018 Audi Q5 was headed eastbound on University Boulevard East when it struck a 2013 Honda CR-V driven by Adolfo Cabrera, 79.
Cabrera was attempting to turn left on Buckingham Drive onto University Boulevard East at the time, and then struck a tree, according to police.
The driver and three passengers in the Audi were not injured.
At the time of the collision, Cabrera’s injuries were not believed to be life threatening. He was taken to a hospital at the time, where he was pronounced dead on May 28.
