After winning some small prizes, a Silver Spring woman won $50,000 from a Maryland Lottery FAST PLAY ticket during a work break.
She purchased two tickets for the High Roller Blackjack game from the Shoppers grocery store in College Park and left with a second-tier prize from a winning Blackjack hand on one of them.
“I was shaking like a leaf,” she told Maryland Lottery in a press release.
The 51-year-old has been laying low, only sharing the news with a few family members. With her largest winning yet, she plans to put the money into savings to help with future expenses.
High Roller Blackjack has a progressive jackpot starting at $100,000 and increasing with each ticket purchased while offering smaller prizes from $10 to $50,000. The jackpot climbed to $216,756 on Tuesday, April 4 after $10 tickets for the game first went on sale last April.
