With Valentine’s Day fast approaching, the Silver Spring Art and Entertainment District released a list of activities perfect for a romantic date or just a Galentine’s night out.
Whether you are celebrating with a significant other, a friend or your family, there is a lot to do in Silver Spring this Valentine’s Day.
- Couples Skate at Veterans Plaza, the outdoor ice skating rink is open seven days a week. Skate around, enjoy the music and at night, enjoy the colored light canopy. Skating sessions last one hour, visit the Silver Spring Ice Skating website to purchase tickets online. Skate rentals are available, with 400 pairs of skates available to rent in sizes toddler to adult.
- If you’re looking for a restaurant to have a romantic dinner or even a Galentine’s Day meal, Silver Spring Arts District has compiled a list of over 200 restaurants that could host you.
- For a romantic movie date, the Majestic Theatre is showing Titanic in honor of the movie’s 25th anniversary.
- Try a self guided tour of the public art walk around Silver Spring, or even create your own path to over 50 pieces of public artwork. Visit Heidi Lippman’s Transorma/Transforma, an 180 square foot glass-painted wall, or Craig Kraft’s Lightweb.
