Some power outages continue following Monday’s afternoon and evening storms.
According to outage reports from Pepco, 66 county residents are affected by 19 power outages as of 11:41 a.m. Tuesday.
Tuesday will be drying out, according to the National Weather Service, and Wednesday will stay dry, with thunderstorm chances returning Thursday into Friday.
If residents see a downed wire, Pepco tells them to report it as soon as possible to 1-877-737-2662 and to not touch the wires.
Transportation department crews have responded to clear 36 locations, the department reported, and crews are working to clear additional locations. Residents are told to call 311 to report downed trees in the right of way.
The Montgomery County Police Department told residents to use (301) 279-8000 for non-emergencies like reporting a road obstruction.
On Monday, a hazardous weather outlook, tornado watch and severe thunderstorm warning were in effect in Montgomery County.
