Strathmore, a multi-disciplinary arts center in North Bethesda, is putting on a virtual “Live from the Living Room” concert series every Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. COVID-19 has forced many artists to cancel their concerts, but Strathmore is providing a way for people to continue enjoying live music.
The artists performing include Strathmore’s Artists in Residence, which is a program that mentors artists as they transition into their professional careers. Six artists are chosen through a competitive process to participate in this ten-month program, according to Strathmore’s website.
The concert series first went live over Facebook a few months ago and has been continuing every week. Each concert is about twenty minutes and is streamed live over Facebook for people to enjoy for free.
Past concerts can be viewed on Strathmore’s website and on their youtube channel.
