According to a Wallet Hub study released Thursday, Maryland ranks tops amongst states in highest student loan payments.
Maryland leads the 49 other U.S. states with a median student loan payment of $232.
43.8 million Americans collectively owe $1.64 trillion in student loans according to Wallet Hub.
Wallet Hub determined student loan payments by analyzing Wallet Hub consumer data. They then used the analyzed data to determine a median student loan payment for each state and ranked from highest to lowest.
