County residents may register for most summer programs and activities starting on Monday, May 15 at 6:30 a.m.
Registration for Bone Builders, Day Trippers and Senior Outdoor Adventures in Recreation (SOAR) begins at 9 a.m. Non-county residents may register for programs and activities starting on Wednesday, May 17.
The County provides financial assistance to eligible residents. Applications are currently being accepted and may be found online at Rec Assist.
Summer Programs and Activities
A wide variety of classes and programs designed to help participants stay active and have fun are available this summer. Offerings include aquatics, fitness, sports, visual and performing arts, therapeutic recreation, adult 55+ programming and more.
A digital version of the summer guide of programs and activities will be available online starting Friday, May 5. A feature on the County Recreation website provides residents the capability to build their own guide by choosing types and locations of programs, and specifying ages.

On May 15 at 6:30 a.m. in-person registration will be available at Germantown Indoor Swim Center, Kennedy Shriver Aquatic Center, Martin Luther King Jr. Swim Center, Olney Swim Center and the recreation administrative offices located at 2425 Reedie Drive in Wheaton. In-person registration will also be available at all other recreation facilities during regular business hours.
