Detectives with the Montgomery County Police Department believe that five male suspects are responsible for two burglaries and an attempted burglary that happened at Westfield Wheaton Mall.
Surveillance video of the suspects and a surveillance photograph of the suspect’s vehicle has been released and Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying them.
According to a press release, On December 21 around 5:00 a.m. the suspects forced entry into the Westfield Wheaton mall and then forced entry into a store located inside the mall before stealing property and fleeing.
In addition to that, on December 27 shortly before 2:00 a.m. Westfield Wheaton mall security personnel observed the suspects forcing entry into the mall, but they fled without gaining entry.
Finally on January 3, shortly before 2:00 a.m. the suspects forced entry into the mall and then forced entry into a store located inside the mall before stealing property and fleeing.
Investigators are asking anyone with information regarding these suspects, the suspect’s car, or these burglaries to call the 4th District Investigative Section at 240-773-5530.
