The Takoma Park Police Department arrested Jonefere Gutierrez, 26, with no fixed address, for shoplifting.
On July 19, at approximately 12:46 p.m. m., Takoma Park officers responded to a Walgreens store in the 1300 block of University Blvd for a report of a shoplifting in progress.
Officers established contact with Gutiérrez, who had tried to leave the establishment with unpaid merchandise. He also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest through Prince George’s County, according to the police report.
Gutierrez was arrested and transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit.
