Two suspects have been arrested and charged in connection with a Walkers Choice Road shooting on March 7.
Officers located 18-year-old Demari Brown and a juvenile male after responding to reports of shots fired at 12:26 p.m. The juvenile male was transported to an area hospital suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Brown was suffering from gunshot wounds to the leg, according to the Montgomery County Police Department.
A 16-year-old male has since been arrested and transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit. He has been charged as an adult with two counts of attempted second-degree murder, two counts of first-degree assault and multiple firearms related charges.
Detectives believe Brown and the 16-year-old were engaged in a shoot-out. According to the MCPD, detectives have obtained physical evidence and surveillance video that shows Brown in possession of a handgun during the incident.
Brown was arrested on March 14 and has been charged with first-degree assault and multiple firearms related charges. According to MCPD, a 9mm handgun was found in Brown’s possession upon his arrest. Brown has since been transported to Montgomery County Central Processing Unit.
Both suspects are being held without bond.
