County Executive Marc Elrich announced the official swearing-in ceremony for Police Chief Marc R. Yamada and Fire Chief Corey A. Smedley at Wheaton High School on Tuesday.

The swearing-in ceremony will begin with a meet and greet reception from 4 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. followed by the ceremony from 5:15 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The event will occur at the Wheaton High School Auditorium on 12401 Dalewood Drive in Silver Spring.
